Eligibility

All AmCham members who meet the following criteria are eligible:

Company must be an AmCham member for a minimum of 18 months;
AmCham member must be in 'good standing'. To remain in good standing, membership dues must be paid no later than 30th June of each year.
Individual Secure PACT users must have previously traveled to the USA.

ALL member company employees who have completed six months of service with the company are now eligible to use the Secure PACT program.

Application Procedures

Go to the following website to access the new online DS- 160 Non Immigrant Visa application: http://ceac.state.gov/genniv
Read the instructions and press "Start Application".
Choose the Embassy or Consulate where you will apply.
Press " Test Photo” to begin uploading your photograph.
Browse to your photograph and press “Upload Selected Photo". If your photograph meets the quality standards, you can press "Continue Using This Photograph". If your photograph does not pass, press "Continue Without A Photograph" and you will need to bring a photograph with you to the interview.
Fill in the Form - Complete all questions carefully and accurately. Inserting wrong information or leaving required items blank will only delay your application.
Saving an Application - If you cannot complete in one sitting, you can save the application to your hard drive and continue later. Press "Save’ at the bottom of any data entry page.
Retrieving a saved application - Brows to a saved application file. Press "Upload Data"
Print the confirmation page. Only the confirmation page is required for the interview.

Important Note: New online DS-160 nonimmigrant visa application form replaces following forms:

DS 156 "Nonimmigrant Visa Application"
DS 157 "Supplemental Nonimmigrant Visa Application"
DS 158 "Contact Information and work history for Nonimmigrant visa applicant"

First-Time Travelers

Eligible AmCham companies can also use the program to expedite interviews for first-time travel to the United States for employees who meet the following criteria:

Minimum of 6 months employment with the company (verification required);
Significant business reason for travel;
Attestation by CEO/MD of the employee's long-term value to the company's overall operational or strategic plan;

First time travelers must submit documents in person to the AmCham office, bringing their original passport for inspection by AmCham staff. They must also sign the Secure PACT log book, both before and after travel to the USA. This program allows closer scrutiny and provides for the possibility of closer monitoring of first time business travelers. Verification of the employees travel, business conducted and return date will be required, and future visa consideration for the ENTIRE firm will hinge on proper adherence to the criteria outlined

Submission to AmCham

The following correctly completed documents must be submitted to the AmCham office by noon on the Tuesday of each week

DS 160 Application Form - with two (2) attached 2" X 2" color photos against a white background (one photo to be retained by AmCham);
Clear photocopy of the biographic page from passport;
Letter from CEO/MD, addressed to the US Consular Officer, stating the purpose and dates of travel to the USA;
Copy of travel itinerary.

First time travelers must also submit:

An additional 2" X 2" color photo;
Letter from the CEO/MD indicating the employee's long-term value to the company's overall operational or strategic plan.

Applicants will be notified of their interview date and time at the earliest possible opportunity, normally the following Wednesday.

Application Fees

Payment, via cheque made out to the American Chamber of Commerce for each application, must be made in advance according to the following fee schedule:

Main Member	Rs. 3,500=
Repeat Traveler	Rs. 5,000=
First-Time Traveler	Rs. 7,000=

AmCham does not guarantee visa issuance in exchange for this fee, which is for administrative processing of Secure PACT applications only. All visa issuances are the sole purview and responsibility of the US Consular Official.
