The Government of Sri Lanka put forth a draft Employment Act dated 6th July 2019. This new unified employment law intends to gradually replace 54 archaic labour legislations currently in force. AmCham SL together with the Employer’s Federation of Ceylon hosted an event to share the Federation’s observations, discuss the proposed changes, how it could affect organizations and industries while answering the attendees’ questions.
