Description
The American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka hosted its Annual Christmas Fellowship & Fundraiser “Yuletide Greetings – 2022” on the 13th of December at Sunset Blu, Hilton Colombo.
The evening offered fellowship, games, a silent auction, cocktails, and a stellar performance by a live choir. The beautiful evening set light with the participation of many AmCham members, special guests, and invitees of the United States Embassy to Sri Lanka in celebration of the spirit of giving this Christmas season.
With the generous support of our members and partners of AmCham SL, we were able to raise over LKR 500,000 toward the four year-marked charity projects for 2022, namely:
Distribution of Meals and Vouchers for Christmas was distributed to 25 families. The total project was valued at LKR 287,500.
Distribution of 250 lunch packs on the 1st of January. The total project was valued at LKR 120,000.
Distribution of Breakfast for 625 students. 625 students from the schools Kudabudgamuwa Roman Catholic Collage Kotikawatte & Soma Devi Girls School Kudabudgamuwa were given breakfast. The total project was valued at LKR 125,000.
The total amount spent for all three projects was valued at 532,000 and raised through the Yuletide Greetings fundraiser.
