Explore Opportunities
To determine your eligibility for membership with AmCham Sri Lanka, please review the following categories:
- Full Members — Partnerships, firms, companies, corporations, representative/liaison offices or other organizations of associations with American equity participation of a minimum of 15% and which are registered in Sri Lanka and currently operating in Sri Lanka as independent entities or engaged in joint ventures. Government representatives of the USA in Sri Lanka as designated by the US Ambassador in Sri Lanka and citizens of the United States residing in Sri Lanka.
- Affiliate Members — Partnerships, firms, companies, corporations, representatives/liaison offices or other organizations or associations that have actual American business interests, such as representatives of companies in Sri Lanka or of companies' other business or commercial entities in the USA engaged in import and/or export of goods and services to and from the USA.
- Probationary Members — Partnerships, firms, companies, corporations, representatives/liaison offices or other organizations or associations that intend to commence business operations with the USA and shall do so within a period of two years from obtaining membership.
- Individual Additional Members — Allows existing Member Companies to register additional individual members under their existing membership.
- Professional Members — Certified Professionals (Doctor, Lawyer. Accountant etc) and Graduates from any recognized university in the USA. currently or intending to commence business relations with the USA, who have been recommended for membership by a Full or Affiliate Member of the Chamber.
Becoming a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka is a straightforward process:
- Visit the Membership page on our website, where you'll find detailed information about the different membership categories and the application process.
- Follow the instructions to fill out and submit your application, along with any required information and documentation.
- Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our Membership Committee, and you'll be notified of the status and any next steps.

Encourage the company to apply via our Membership page, where they'll find our simple 3-step application process. You're also welcome to issue a formal recommendation to accompany their application, so our selection board understands your endorsement.
